Does PLR Content Really Need to Be Rewritten?
You may have heard a well-meaning online business owner tell you that you have to rewrite PLR (private label rights) content before you use it or say that it’s essential or somehow your business is going to go down the tubes if you don’t do it. They live in fear of duplicate content penalties from search engines and all kinds of other inexplicable horrors.
Take heart – PLR is supposed to make your life easier and not harder. There is no need to rewrite all the content before putting it to use.
Here is some food for thought:
- Many online business owners successfully combine the use of both completely original and PLR content without any type of search engine penalty. Generally speaking, search engines do not penalize you for publishing an article another website has published. Search engines simply tend to ignore, not penalize, any content if it appears more than once in their database. And above all, remember you publish useful content for your readers ” you cant let search engines dictate what you can and cannot put on your website if it is in the best interest of your visitors.
– Any content you are adding to autoresponders or email does not require any editing except if you want to tailor it to the needs of your readers. Nobody from the search engines is standing over your shoulder watching what you are publishing. You are only being watched by your subscribers who want real content. Its easy to use PLR content to provide your subscribers the quality they wish for.
- PLR ebooks only need a vigorous make-over if you feel the information will best meet your audiences needs. They may be able to find the same information or ebook elsewhere, but there is no harm in having a desire to supply your customers with valuable content. Making your product a better value by adding other components such as audios or special reports will make your customers realize that you appreciate their business.
Don’t get bogged down in the rewriting process or it may paralyze you from putting your PLR content to good use. Just use your judgment and keep the focus on providing quality content to your readers, subscribers and customers.
