Marketing really means advertising; however ads do not necessarily have to be taken out to be advertising. Going up to people and telling them about your business venture is considered advertising and it takes no money to do, which is good.

The definition of these networks is also a hazy one. A network is any thing or group of people or things that share something in common. It may be a book club or a club that you can join at work or on the internet. The interests or traits that they have are all similar.

The practice of actually marketing to the network can be done in many different ways. Just talking to the network about the thing you are trying to do or sell is the most common. For internet networks you can blog or write about it so others will know what is going on.

Network marketing is a very common and well established way to make new business and grow your corporation or enterprise. Many clients can be gained and kept by doing business like this. With inventions like the internet and telephones, growing a business has never been easier.
